Imagine Enterprises promotes self-determination practices through training and support to individuals with disabilities, family members and professionals. Many of the services that people seek and need additional support are beyond the scope of the funding sources. Donations to Imagine provide additional resources that allow staff and volunteers to travel for home visits, provide training, explain a service plan more thoroughly, or assist a person to prepare for their person-directed plan using their individual budget.
The Virginia Eernisse Voice Scholarship honors one of our founders and her incredible contributions to people with intellectual, developmental, and/or psychiatric disabilities throughout Texas. The scholarship will provide individual support to a self-advocate to achieve a personal or community advocacy goal. This can include training, equipment, going to a class or conference. Or, some of Virginia’s favorite activities such as getting the support needed to visit state legislators, transportation and personal assistance to a community rally for rights and services, or cover the expenses of a conference so a self-advocate can present a workshop.
The state of Texas and the IRS require that we collect your full contact information before accepting a donation. However, you will have the option to make your donation anonymous which will hide your information from all public activity.
